Amthane Dam, Goa

Image
Hello friends, welcome to my new post. Yesterday I went to see Amthane Dam. It was a sudden planning, so I left to Amthane around 3.00p.m in the afternoon with one my friend. We choose bike to travel, which was really a bad decision. Because as we covered half of a distance we were totally burnt due to Sun. So don't choose to go in the afternoon, go in the evening or in morning if you want to keep yourself away from sun burn and to enjoy nice beauty.   Roads are quite good, greenery on the both the sides of the road but as I reached Latambarcem village I could see old Goan houses, cow shades. This place is quite isolated and peaceful as compared to other Goan tourists spots. This dam is not very much famous. Just opposite to this dam there is one farm, I don't know the exact name but you can chill out their with your friends and family. Though the dam is not so big but the area provides very beautiful view and you can also gaze at the beauty of Sahyadri range. It

Hello friends. Thanks a lot for liking and commenting and showing so much of love on my first blog. This is my second blog. So to create this second blog I decided to explore the Divar island. So I went with one of my friend to explore it. Divar island lies in the Mandovi river. It is located 10km away from capital city Panjim. You can enter into this island from Old Goa ferry South-East side, Ribandar ferry South-West side and Narvem ferry on the North side. The Konkan railway also passes through this island. Divar island welcomes you with smoothie winds, green fields and shining water bodies. I went during evening. Evening was so pleasant I have no words. The sunset is just amazing. Mandovi river was looking very beautiful. Shades of sunset was amazing. I have never ever experienced such an amazing sunset. I had a little talk with one of the villager, he told me that the original inhabitants of this island were people who once lived in Old Goa but due to some disease they then

One can enter into the island by Corjuem ferry or by Corjuem pool also known as 'H' pool.Scenery from the Corjuem pool is awesome. You can see St.Thomas Church of Aldona, Old Portuguese Barge Dock, Indo Portuguese houses, boats, fisherman and few Chapels. Island offers authentic food of Goa.  Corjuem is famous because of Corjuem Fort. It was a military fortress for the defense of Portuguese India. It is much smaller than the other forts of Goa, but it gives a good view of the surrounding river and land. The fort was built in 1705 by Caetano de Melo e Castro. It also had a Chapel under parochial Church of Aldona.  Mae de Deus Chapel of Corjuem Island was built in 1855, it is an eye catching C
